Security Engineer

Lawrence Harvey is partnered with a SaaS company that's growing in the semiconductor space. Their security team is growing and we’re looking for a hands-on Security Engineer to help shape and scale security across a modern, cloud-first environment. This individual will play a key role in protecting infrastructure, improving detection and response capabilities, and embedding security into the development lifecycle from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

Cloud & Platform Security

• Architect and manage security measures across cloud environments, with a focus on AWS and containerized workloads
• Oversee identity and access controls, secure networking configurations, and secrets handling practices
• Evaluate and provide guidance on the security posture of new systems, services, and infrastructure updates

Detection, Response & Operations

• Create and refine procedures for identifying and responding to security events
• Take ownership of investigating incidents, coordinating response efforts, and driving post-event analysis
• Expand visibility across systems by implementing monitoring, alerting, and detection mechanisms

Secure Engineering Enablement

• Partner with engineering teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure workflows
• Develop reusable patterns, templates, and guardrails that make secure development the default
• Support adoption of self-service security tooling to enable developer velocity without compromising safety

What You Bring

• 4+ years working in security engineering or a closely related discipline
• Deep familiarity with cloud environments (AWS strongly preferred), container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and identity/access management principles
• Proven experience handling security incidents and building detection and response capabilities
• Track record of integrating security into development pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical partners

Nice to Have

• Exposure to compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar
• Experience operating in early-stage or high-growth environments
• Programming or scripting experience in languages like Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript
• Familiarity with internal/corporate security controls such as endpoint security, SSO, and multi-factor authentication
