Role summary
Leidos is seeking an Integration and Test Engineer to join their Defense Systems team. This role involves working directly with customers and contractors to execute program requirements, focusing on the development, modification, and execution of test plans for hardware projects. Responsibilities include requirements verification, test data analysis, report generation, and debugging software/hardware. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field with 8+ years of experience (or 4+ with a Master's) and knowledge of defense or commercial test engineering practices. Experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting, and testing is essential. A secret security clearance is required.

Primary Responsibilities
- Working directly with the customer and contractors to execute program requirements.
- Creating, modifying, and executing test plans for development, qualification, and acceptance phases of hardware projects.
- Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports.
- Performing test data analysis and generating test reports from that analysis
- Briefing both internal and external parties on test results and data.
- Debugging software and/or hardware with various tools.
- The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- The position may require minimal travel for test events (approximately 4 weeks a year).
Basic Qualifications
- The position requires an ABET accredited B.S. or equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or electrical engineering with 8+ years of experience or 4+ years with MS.
- Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes.
- Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures.
- Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting and testing.
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five to eight years of experience with test planning and execution.
- Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, voltmeter, signal analyzer/generator)
- Working knowledge and operation of environmental test equipment (e.g. thermal chamber, shock and vibe table, etc.)
- Experience with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-810, or equivalent commercial or industrial testing.
- Experience with Linux, Matlab, Labview, and WireShark
- Experience preparing and presenting briefings and/or demonstrations to customers and management
- Planning and executing demonstration tests and US Gov't test ranges/facilities

Pay Range
Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
