Fullstack Software Engineer
Role summary
Atomic Semi is seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer to join their early-stage hardware startup in San Francisco, CA. This role will focus on building the core web application used by process engineers to interact with hardware, workflows, and data. Responsibilities include developing user-facing features, real-time monitoring and control UIs, and tools for process design and experiment management. The ideal candidate is proficient in Typescript, React, and Go, comfortable working across the full stack, and possesses strong product sense. Experience with data visualization or Rust/WebAssembly is a plus. The position offers a competitive salary range of $125,000 – $195,000 annually, generous equity, and comprehensive benefits.
About the role
You’ll build the product, a central web app that runs the fab, and focus on user-facing features used by process engineers to interact with hardware, workflows, and data.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship product features in the main web app
- Develop UIs for real-time monitoring and control of hardware
- Build tools for process design, workflows, and experiment management
- Work across frontend + backend to deliver features end-to-end
- Iterate quickly based on internal user feedback
Requirements
- Strong experience building real-world applications
- Proficient in Typescript + React and Go
- Comfortable working across the stack (frontend + backend)
- Ability to build clean, fast, and intuitive interfaces
- Strong product sense and taste
Nice to have
- Experience building tools for technical users (engineering, data, scientific domains)
- Experience with data visualization or real-time UIs
- Familiarity with Rust / WebAssembly
- Strong design taste (UI/UX)

Compensation: Atomic Semi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary range for this role is $125,000 – $195,000. Compensation is determined based on your qualifications and experience. Our total compensation package also includes generous equity in Atomic Semi.
