Assistant Program Manager
Role summary
The Assistant Program Manager supports the Program Manager in ensuring the smooth daily operation of assigned program sites. This role provides on-site leadership support without having supervisory authority over staff. The Assistant Program Manager assists with implementing Individual Support Plans (ISPs), health protocols, documentation, scheduling coordination, and operational tasks. The Assistant Program Manager helps maintain program stability, supports training efforts, and acts as a resource for DSPs. When the Program Manager is unavailable, the Assistant Program Manager serves as the primary point of contact for day-to-day questions and problem-solving but does not conduct supervision, evaluations, or corrective actions. This is a working role that may require covering DSP shifts and participating in an after-hours on-call rotation.
Overview

The Assistant Program Manager helps maintain program stability, supports training efforts, and acts as a resource for DSPs. When the Program Manager is unavailable, the Assistant Program Manager serves as the primary point of contact for day-to-day questions and problem-solving but does not conduct supervision, evaluations, or corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, model best practices, and ensure daily routines follow ISPs and agency standards.
- Help staff understand and implement ISPs, protocols, BSPs, and individual-specific routines.
- Assist the Program Manager in preparing ISP-related documentation, tracking goals, and participating in planning meetings when requested.
- Assist the Program Manager in coordinating medical appointments, follow-up care, and communication with providers.
- Help maintain accurate and timely documentation including daily notes, MARs, financial logs, and other required forms.
- Assist the Program Manager in organizing staff schedules, time-off requests, and coverage needs.
- Cover DSP shifts when necessary to maintain program stability (this is a working role).
- Relay information between shifts to ensure consistency of supports and follow-through on tasks.
- Is part of the After Hours rotation which includes being on-call for a week at a time, as scheduled, to take calls, provide guidance and, on occasion, cover open shifts in the homes. The number of weeks per year that the Assistant Manager is on the rotation will generally be 6, but may vary depending on open positions and agency needs.
- Regular attendance for scheduled shifts.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
