This remote US-based role involves technical leadership, architectural decision-making, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in professional software development, proficiency in Python, experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with Agentic AI and Golang is a plus.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable and robust solutions for our SaaS platform. You will be a technical leader, mentoring junior engineers, driving architectural decisions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that meets evolving customer needs. This is a Remote position for US candidates only.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership:
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance, fostering innovation and excellence.
  • Drive architectural design and decisions for platform scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor engineers to ensure quality and professional growth.
  • Software Development:
  • Design, develop, and deploy high-performance, scalable, and secure software solutions using modern technologies including Agentic AI.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code, participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • System Architecture & Design:
  • Design and implement robust, scalable system architectures to support company growth.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools, ensuring platform security and compliance with industry standards (e.g., HITRUST, SOC 2).
  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to define solutions.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (product management, QA, operations).
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in agile development processes and document architectural and system designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing scalable and distributed systems that are in production.
  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Experience in Golang is a plus.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in the insurance or healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Experience with Agentic AI and building scalable systems for compliance is a plus.
