Role summary

We are seeking a Security Engineer for a 12-month contract with potential extensions, operating on a hybrid schedule in Trenton, NJ. This role focuses on the design and implementation of robust security solutions. Key responsibilities include developing and managing DMZ designs, IPSec configurations, and Nexus vPC architecture, while leveraging MacSEC technology for enhanced data security. The engineer will also monitor and optimize QoS traffic shaping and work extensively with Cisco Nexus hardware to maintain network reliability. Familiarity with Wireless LAN Controllers, Arista Velo Cloud, Arista Cloud Vision, and RADIUS is preferred.

Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Contract Length: 12 months + extensions

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves design and implementation of security solutions, as well as developing and managing DMZ designs, IPSec configurations, and Nexus vPC architecture. This role will be full time and Hybrid in Trenton, NJ

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience with Cisco Nexus hardware
  • Proficiency in protocols including BGP, VxLAN, SD-WAN, SDN, EVPN, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, and Segment Routing
  • Hands-on experience with DMZ design, IPSec, Nexus vPC architecture, and MacSEC technology
  • Knowledge of QoS traffic shaping principles

Duties:

  • Design and implement security solutions using protocols such as BGP, VxLAN, SD-WAN, SDN, EVPN, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, and Segment Routing
  • Develop and manage DMZ designs, IPSec configurations, and Nexus vPC architecture
  • Apply MacSEC technology to enhance data security
  • Monitor and optimize QoS traffic shaping
  • Work with Cisco Nexus hardware to ensure network reliability
  • Collaborate on projects involving Wireless LAN Controllers, Arista Velo Cloud, Arista Cloud Vision, and RADIUS (as needed)
  • Prefer familiarity with Wireless LAN Controllers, Arista Velo Cloud, Arista Cloud Vision, and RADIUS
