What You Will Be Doing
Flight Termination System (FTS) Engineer on hypersonic development programs. Tasks will include FTS component and system support, to include test procedure generation, integration and test, and pre-flight check activities. Candidate should have a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline. The effort encompasses the full life cycle of systems development from initial requirements definition, design trades, component testing, system integration/test, and troubleshooting. The position requires strong electronic systems knowledge, integration, testing, and excellent troubleshooting skills. Person will coordinate on design and test items with Range Safety Officers (RSO) at multiple flight test locations. Domestic travel will be required approximately 10% for supplier and test locations. Candidate must have a Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience or Master’s degree
- Experience with understanding schematics and interface wiring diagrams
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Flight Termination System (FTS) subsystem design, integration, and testing
- Familiarity with telemetry system design and integration
- Strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences of varying technical knowledge
- Experience with supplier management, including Statement of Work (SOW) generation and technical oversight
- Excellent ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
- Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change

Ability to Work Remotely:
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
