Role summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer to investigate and resolve software issues for Automated Test Equipment. The role involves performing software product development, including requirements, object-oriented design, coding, unit testing, integration, and formal delivery. Candidates should have experience or knowledge of programming languages like JAVA, C, or C++. A Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or a related field is required, along with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Experience with ATE software, operating systems (Solaris, Linux, Windows), Agile/DevOps, and technical documentation is preferred. This is an onsite position requiring US citizenship.

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer. In this role, you will investigate and resolve software issues associated with Automated Test Equipment. Perform software product development according to FBM and Lockheed Martin process and procedures. This includes requirements, object oriented and design, code and unit, integration, and support of formal delivery of the product. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of a software programming language (JAVA, C, C++, etc.) and be able to work well in a team environment, which requires excellent communication skills. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical

Engineering, or a related degree, from an
accredited college/university

  • Experience/knowledge of a software programming language (JAVA, C, C++, or related programming language)
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance is

required for this role.

Desired Skills:

Experience in the development of software used
in electronic Automated Equipment (ATE) or
other similar systems.

  • Operating Systems (OS) background to include

Sun Solaris or Linux, Windows.

  • Experience with Agile and DevOps processes and culture
  • Experience with Jira or other Atlassian tool sets
  • Experience reading schematic diagrams and

other technical documentation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

skills.

  • Highly motivated and dedicated to completion

of tasks to a high standard

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

9x80 every other Friday off
