Role summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, specifically a C2 Developer, to join their Ground Product Line team. This role involves designing and documenting microservice-based architectures with a deep understanding of open architecture, cloud computing, and security principles. Proficiency in Java or C# is required. The position also involves experience with Command and Control Systems, cloud environments, API integration, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD, and the ELK stack. The role emphasizes working in Agile teams (Scrum, Kanban) and requires strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. This is a hybrid remote position.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Command and Control Systems
  • Experience with Cloud environments
  • Experience integrating software components via machine-to-machine interfaces (e.g., RESTful APIs, ActiveMQ, etc.)
  • Understanding / proficiency in application containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Experience with test automation and continuous integration and deployment
  • Strong background developing / debugging and/or testing of web applications and web services
  • Experience with Elastic Search, Kibana, Logstash (ELK stack)
  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile teams leveraging Scrum, Kanban or other methodologies and/or understanding of Agile development concepts
