You will be a Software Engineer Staff for the Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) team. Our team is responsible for supporting the ground systems maintenance of the F-22 aircraft. IMIS hardware/software connects to the aircraft automating numerous processes to improve maintenance performance and reduce management, supervisory, and technical overhead. The F-22 IMIS applications reduce man-hours needed to service, troubleshoot, and repair the F-22 aircraft.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Software Engineering Staff you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and coordinating software development activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems
- Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle
- Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications
- Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities
- Ensures software standards are met

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in C or C++
- Demonstrated experience with RESTful APIs and YAML based configuration/infrastructure files
- Experience with the software development process in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)
- Experience working in Kanban and Scrum environments.
Desired Skills:
- Skilled in debugging, testing, and conducting thorough code reviews
- Modern Agile Software Development Processes and tools (e.g. git, Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Bitbucket)
- Ability to build and maintain relationships and collaborate effectively with others
- Strong decision making and judgment skills

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
