Role summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) program in Huntsville, AL. This role involves full software lifecycle development, including design, architecture, integration, testing, and requirements analysis for ground systems. The engineer will utilize C/C++ programming languages and follow the program's Software Development Plan. Experience with embedded systems, Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) like GreenHill or VxWorks, and Linux is desired. The position requires an active Final Secret security clearance and is an onsite, full-time role.

This position is for a software engineer to support the LRHW software organization. You will help code, develop, and innovate technical solutions for soldier utilized ground systems.
This position requires strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and to interface with software developers, test engineers, system engineers, program management, quality assurance engineers, and customer representatives. Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Engineer for a position in Huntsville, AL.
In this role, you will support the LRHW software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as C or C++.
Desired Skills

  • Real Time Operating System (RTOS) experience – (GreenHill or VxWorks)
  • A strong background in Linux and VxWorks operating systems
  • A strong background in embedded SW architecture
  • Extensive experience in C++ programming
