You will be the Software Engineer for the Embedded Software team. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑performance embedded solutions that power critical defense and aerospace systems.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Software Engineer - Embedded you will be responsible for guiding the development of mission‑critical embedded software across multiple programs.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Support the design, development, and integration of C/C++ embedded applications.
- Help plan, coordinate, and execute software development activities and schedules.
- Develop, document, test, and debug complex algorithms and logical solutions.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Identify and resolve program errors, produce operating instructions, and maintain comprehensive documentation.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or related field
- C++ 11 or higher
- Embedded real-time software development
- Hardware/Software integration & test
- Linux OS
- Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, must be a U.S. Citizen

Ability to Work Remotely:
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
