Loft is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join their adventure in space technology. The role involves refining the UI of their satellite operations software, Cockpit, and empowering end-users. Responsibilities include building and maintaining web applications, collaborating on UI/UX design, integrating with backend services via GraphQL APIs, and supporting internal teams. The tech stack includes Vue.js, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and GraphQL, with bonus points for Web Components. Required qualifications include strong proficiency in TypeScript, HTML, CSS, experience with Vue or React, SPAs, GraphQL APIs, and testing frameworks like Vitest, Jest, or Cypress. Nice-to-haves include Web Components and Geospatial Libraries experience, and an interest in space.

As a Frontend Engineer at Loft, you will work on a range of projects, including refining the UI of Cockpit, our satellite operations software, and empowering end-users with powerful satellite management capabilities. You’ll collaborate with peers on the Frontend Engineering team, as well as interface with the wider Software team.
About this role:
Building and refining tools for satellite operations and autopilot observability
Developing and maintaining our web applications and services
Collaborating on UI/UX design to enhance user experience (no need to be a designer, just care about good UX)
Integrating with backend services using GraphQL APIs
Supporting internal teams in using our ground software (Cockpit)
Getting hands-on with satellite operations—everyone at Loft plays a role in mission success!

Must Haves:
Strong proficiency in TypeScript / HTML / CSS
Experience with Vue or React
Experience working on SPAs
Experience with GraphQL APIs
Experience with Testing (Unit and integration testing (e.g., Vitest, Jest, Cypress
Nice to Haves:
Experience with Web Components
Experience with Mapping/Geospatial Libraries – e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox, or CesiumJS (could be useful for visualizing satellite data)
Interest in Space or Aerospace – No prior experience is required, but enthusiasm for space technology is a bonus!
UI/UX sensibility (no need to be a designer, just to care about that)
