Job Description
As a Senior DevOps & Platform Engineer at LoopQA, you will work directly with client engineering teams to design and implement automation, DevOps workflows, and enterprise platform improvements.
This role spans several areas depending on the client engagement, including:
- DevOps automation
- GitHub Actions development
- PowerShell automation
- ServiceNow platform development
- ServiceNow UX improvements
You will help organizations improve developer productivity, automate operational workflows, and build scalable systems that support modern engineering practices.
Our engineers are expected to move quickly across technologies and environments while maintaining high standards for reliability and code quality.
We place strong emphasis on engineers who can leverage modern AI tools including Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT to accelerate development, debugging, and system design.

- Follow test-driven development (TDD) principles when building automation, integrations, and platform features

Responsibilities
DevOps & CI/CD
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to support modern development workflows
- Build and maintain automated deployment processes
- Implement infrastructure automation and deployment strategies
- Improve build reliability, deployment speed, and developer productivity
- Integrate automated testing and security checks into CI/CD pipelines
GitHub Actions Development
- Design and implement complex GitHub Actions workflows
- Build reusable CI/CD templates and pipeline automation
- Integrate build, testing, and deployment automation
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures and improve pipeline performance
- Implement automation across multiple repositories and environments
PowerShell Automation
- Develop PowerShell scripts and automation tools
- Automate infrastructure management and operational workflows
- Build reusable scripts to simplify engineering and administrative tasks
- Improve system reliability through automation
ServiceNow Platform Engineering
- Configure and develop solutions within the ServiceNow platform
- Build integrations and workflow automation
- Improve IT service management processes through platform customization
- Develop scripts and automation within ServiceNow environments
- Support platform upgrades and architectural improvements
ServiceNow UI/UX Improvements
- Improve usability and workflow efficiency within ServiceNow environments
- Design and implement intuitive dashboards and interfaces
- Optimize internal tools to improve productivity for enterprise users
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve service workflows
Continuous Learning
- Quickly learn new technologies and tools required by client projects
- Use resources such as AI tools, documentation, and technical research to accelerate learning
- Stay current with DevOps tooling, automation frameworks, and enterprise platforms
Collaboration
- Work closely with client engineering teams, product teams, and leadership
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical planning
- Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to improving development practices across client organizations
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience with DevOps and CI/CD automation
- Experience building GitHub Actions workflows
- Strong PowerShell scripting experience
- Experience working with the ServiceNow platform
- Experience automating enterprise workflows and systems
Engineering Approach
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Experience working in TDD-first environments
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, Copilot, or ChatGPT
- Strong engineering fundamentals and code quality standards
- Ability to design maintainable, production-ready systems
- Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and platforms
Additional Experience (Preferred)
- Experience with containerization (Docker)
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure
- Experience improving enterprise UI/UX workflows
- Experience building internal developer platforms or automation tooling
- Experience integrating APIs and automation systems

Work Environment
LoopQA engineers frequently work with multiple client teams and must be comfortable adapting to different development environments and technologies.
*While this position is fully remote, candidates must be available to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST).*

Pay: $90,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
