DB Patching Automation Engineer
Role summary
LTIMindtree is seeking a DB Patching Automation Engineer to design and implement automated patching frameworks for various databases including Oracle, SQL Server, Db2, MongoDB, MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL. The role involves developing end-to-end patching pipelines with version discovery, pre/post-checks, compliance validation, and reporting. Key responsibilities include building automation workflows using tools like Ansible, Rundeck, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps, and scripting with Python and Shell. Integration with monitoring, scheduling, orchestration, CMDB, and service management tools (ServiceNow preferred) is crucial. Collaboration with OS, Database, and Security teams is expected, along with troubleshooting and documentation.

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated patching frameworks for
- Oracle including RAC Exadata
- SQL Server
- IBM Db2
- MongoDB MySQL MariaDB PostgreSQL Cassandra
- Develop end to end patching pipelines including
- Version discovery
- Prechecks post checks
- Compliance validation
- Reporting and dashboards
- Build and maintain Automation Workflows using Rundeck Ansible Terraform MFO GitLab CICD or Azure DevOps
- Develop reusable automation frameworks and templates for infrastructure operations
- Create and maintain scripts using Python and other scripting languages Shell PowerShell
- Integrate automation workflows with monitoring scheduling and orchestration tools
- Integrate patching automation with CMDB service management and change control workflows ServiceNow preferred
- Collaborate with OS Database and Security teams to ensure compliant and scalable automation
- Troubleshoot automation failures and optimize existing automation processes
- Document automation designs workflows and operational procedures
