Role summary

Lucid Service/After-Sales is seeking a Material Planner to ensure efficient delivery of service parts, sub-assemblies, and accessories to distribution centers. This role requires a deep understanding of Lucid's supply chain and service operations, expertise in assigned products/commodities, and the ability to deploy inventory strategies, manage product changes, resolve exceptions, and drive supplier execution. Responsibilities include daily supply management, status reporting, supplier engagement, cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers, and leading process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing-based industry, strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, and excellent analytical and communication skills.

The Lucid Service/After-Sales organization is looking to hire a skilled Material Planner to ensure service parts, sub-assemblies and accessories are delivered to Lucid Service Parts Distribution Centers to support our service needs at optimal efficiency. This individual must fully understand Lucid’s supply chain and service operations, as well as be an expert on their assigned product or commodities. They will deploy inventory strategies, be responsible for product change and associated material planning implications, manage and solve exceptions, and drive supplier execution.

This role involves daily management of supply and constraints, status reporting and escalation, supplier engagement and the relentless pursuit of operational excellence and continuous improvement. The Material Planner role requires global cross-functional engagement within Lucid and across the extended supply chain.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the planning and ordering of service parts, sub-assemblies and accessories. Create and deploy material supply requirements to internal and external supply base to support Lucid Service and After-Sales organization.
  • Build and maintain operational partnerships with assigned suppliers. Act as the primary interface with suppliers and Lucid logistics/distribution on delivery status, issues and resolution. Escalate to commercial or technical partners when required (GSM, Accounts Payable, Quality, Engineering, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Demand Planner to ensure demand from all sources - Lucid Service Centers, Body Shops, eCommerce, Vehicle Delivery, Engineering, Marketing and International Markets - are supported appropriately.
  • Apply analytics and supply chain expertise to manage system parameters and meet target inventory and service level goals while minimizing costs and obsolescence.
  • Coordinate supplier’s ramp up and down for new product launches, ensuring suppliers deliver shipments needed to support service/vehicle delivery targets.
  • Deliver material coverage, run-out reports and other analyses as needed to service leadership. Provide data-driven decision support to the broader organization through what-if and scenario planning (as examples).
  • Manage engineering changes to minimize obsolete inventory and ensure continuous supply.
  • Identify and lead process improvement projects related to execution and planned growth for our new product launches, including understanding BOM structures related to forecasting.
  • Work closely with the GSM team to improve supplier performance and provide guidance into future purchasing strategies.
  • Partner with IT and other business stakeholders on planning process and system improvements.
  • What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelors’ education in Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Supply Chain. CPIM or APICS training is a plus.
  • 2+ years’ experience as Material Planner, Buyer or Sourcing Specialist in a manufacturing-based industry.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP operations with a deep understanding of New Product Introduction, Product Lifecycle Management and Supply Chain operations.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
  • Demonstrated skills in supplier operational and relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data to enable operational decision-making or present clear recommendations to leadership.
  • Exceptional ability to interface and collaborate effectively with individuals, groups, and suppliers.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to write, speak and present effectively and persuasively.
  • Passion to continuously develop, improve, and maintain processes.

Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off.
