Role summary

Lululemon is seeking a Platform Engineer specializing in Secrets Management to join their Enterprise Secrets Management team. This role involves designing, building, and operating a centralized secrets platform to enable secure, scalable, and automated secrets management. Responsibilities include engineering Kubernetes platforms, building CI/CD pipelines, creating self-service capabilities, deploying observability platforms, and leading incident response. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in platform solutions, infrastructure as code, and scalable distributed systems, with proven experience in Kubernetes and self-service platform design. Hands-on Secrets Management experience is required, and Golang development is a plus.

The Enterprise Secrets Management team leads the strategy, engineering, and operation of a centralized secrets platform. Our purpose is to enable secure, scalable, and automated secrets management that reduces risk, strengthens governance, and improves developer productivity. We partner closely with engineering, security, and platform teams to deliver resilient, self‑service capabilities that support business‑critical applications at scale. Core Responsibilities
As a Platform Engineer, you will design and build internal developer platforms and core infrastructure independently that enable engineering velocity and operational excellence. You will engineer Kubernetes platforms and container orchestration solutions, build CI/CD tooling and delivery pipelines, and create self-service capabilities that allow application teams to provision infrastructure and deploy services safely and efficiently. You will build and deploy observability platforms including logging systems, metrics collection, distributed tracing, and monitoring dashboards, conduct infrastructure validation and disaster recovery testing, and respond to platform incidents. You will collaborate with application engineering teams to understand requirements, make platform design decisions within established architecture, and mentor junior engineers on platform engineering practices.
Select Responsibilities Include

  • Engineer Kubernetes platforms and container orchestration solutions including cluster architecture, pod networking, and service mesh
  • Build and maintain CI/CD and delivery tooling to standardize build, test, release workflows and engineering artifact management
  • Create self-service platforms including APIs, templates, and portals that allow application teams to provision infrastructure quickly and safely
  • Build and deploy observability platforms including logging infrastructure, metrics pipelines, distributed tracing systems, alerting platforms, and monitoring dashboards
  • Lead incident response for platform issues including root cause analysis, mitigation, and implementing preventive measures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 4-8 years of experience designing platform solutions, implementing infrastructure as code, and building scalable distributed systems, or equivalent
  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex platform solutions with self-service capabilities; track record of leading design discussions on platform automation approaches presenting trade-offs
  • Experience engineering Kubernetes platforms and container orchestration solutions for production workloads; demonstrated ability to design cloud infrastructure abstractions enabling application teams to deploy without deep infrastructure knowledge
  • Experience creating self-service platforms including APIs, templates, and portals allowing teams to provision and deploy safely; familiarity with designing platform interfaces focused on developer usability and productivity
  • Hands on Secrets Management experience
  • Golang Development experience is a plus

Compensation And Benefits Package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from
$105,800 - $138,800
annually
; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
