Role summary
Lumentum is seeking a motivated Reliability/Test Engineer contractor with 5-10 years of industry experience in RF and Optics products. The role involves creating test setups, developing test software (LabVIEW, C++), debugging hardware and software issues, analyzing test data, and managing databases. Key responsibilities include understanding electrical and optical signals, laser/receiver fundamentals, and utilizing various test equipment. A Master's degree in analog, digital, RF, or basic optics is required. This contract position focuses on ensuring product reliability and efficient testing within the laser and optics domain.

Lumentum NPRO and NU laser line is looking for a highly motivated Reliability/Test Engineer
In This Position You Will
- Create test setup for optical and RF product.
- Create Test Instruction.
- Fix testing related problems, including test software and hardware debugging.
- Help production line to debug products using knowledge of product and production process.
- Develop test software to automate product testing so that the production operators can perform complicated test.
- Test data analysis. Create or modify database.
- Create ECO (Engineering Change Order) of test and production process documents.
Qualifications
- 5 to10 year industry experience as Test Engineer and Process/Product Engineer of RF and Optics product.
- MS degree specialized in analog, digital and RF and basic Optics.
- LabVIEW programming experience, knowledge of C++ is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of electrical signal in both Time and frequency domain.
- Understanding electrical signal and optical signal conversion.
- Deep knowledge of laser and optical receiver, how they work.
- Full knowledge of Electrical and optical parameter including Power, RIN noise, phase noise, beam profile, M2.
- Experience of optical and electrical product test setup.
- Experience of using RF and Optical spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, RF and Optical power meter, beam profiler, ILX laser driver, M2 tester, wavelength meter and other laser parameter meter measurement equipment.
- Knowledge of A to D and D to A conversion.
- Experience of electronic board test.
- Experience on database, including create, modify, query database
- Manufacturing Engineer and Product Engineer experience in laser and optics is a plus.

Pay Range
P60-USA-1 :$108,800.00 - $155,400.00
