Role summary

MAC Valves, Inc. is seeking a summer intern for their automation team to assist in developing equipment for internal assembly and manufacturing processes. The intern will gain hands-on experience in CAD, PLC Programming, electrical wiring, Fanuc Robotic Programming, and mechanical design. This role involves researching technologies to implement cost-efficient solutions and improve production processes. The ideal candidate is a student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation/Mechatronics, or Robotics, proficient with computers, and eager to learn new software.

AUTOMATION ENGINEERING INTERN

MAC Valves, Inc. is a global manufacturing leader in pneumatic and fluid valves, proportional valves, flow control and regulator technology. We are a technological leader in the field with a diverse catalogue of products oriented to meet the global demand for quality repeatable controls components.

We are searching for a summer intern to join our automation team to help develop equipment used in our internal assembly and manufacturing processes. The automation department focuses on creating cost-efficient solutions for the large variety of products MAC Valves produces. You will work hands on with our automation team on a variety of projects, which will provide experience in CAD, PLC Programming, electrical wiring, Fanuc Robotic Programming, and mechanical design.

Qualifications/Requirements:

· A current student seeking a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation/Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent.

· Proficient with computers

· Willing to learn a variety of software

Preferred Skills:

· Experience with CAD software – SolidWorks or equivalent.

· Experience with any programming language

· Experience with industrial automation technologies

· Creative thinker capable of providing unique solutions

Responsibilities:

· Aid in programming, wiring, design, and production of new automation equipment

· Research technology to implement cost efficient solutions to improve production or manufacturing processes.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
