Role summary

The Vice President, Strategic Operations will serve as a key advisor and driver of outcomes for the President of RPS, focusing on advancing division priorities, ensuring high-performance execution, and fostering leadership alignment. This role requires strong business acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include strategic advisory, executive enablement, initiative management, cross-functional alignment using RACI frameworks, and operational excellence by refining processes and developing SOPs. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, or operations, with proven success in supporting C-suite executives, driving alignment, and delivering business outcomes. Experience with M&A, financial analysis, and strong communication skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree and background in technology or SaaS.

Vice President, Strategic Operations will act as a trusted advisor, connector, and driver of outcomes for the President of RPS. This role is integral to advancing RPS division priorities, enabling high-performance execution, and ensuring seamless alignment across the leadership team. The ideal candidate combines sharp business acumen with exceptional organizational instincts and thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Advisory: Serve as thought partner to the President; maintain real-time pulse on business performance; conduct competitive market analysis; develop and pressure-test business cases.
  • Executive Enablement: Prepare the President for Board, ELT, and SLT sessions; own agenda development, briefing materials, and follow-up; lead planning for all-hands and leadership offsites.
  • Initiative Management: Lead RPS strategic initiatives from ideation through execution; drive annual and quarterly planning cycles; identify gaps and develop remediation plans and RCAs.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Drive collaboration across RPS leadership using RACI frameworks and clear operating norms; activate new programs where coordination is needed; champion strategic partnerships.
  • Operational Excellence: Refine back-office processes for the President's office; develop and institutionalize SOPs; apply creative problem-solving to eliminate friction and drive speed.
  • IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

    Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate development, or senior operational leadership
  • Demonstrated experience supporting C-suite or senior executives in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Proven track record driving cross-functional alignment and delivering measurable business outcomes
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen; ability to develop business cases, dashboards, and market assessments
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills — able to distill complexity into clear, actionable insights
  • Experience with M&A processes, post-merger integration, or partnership development
  • High degree of discretion, executive maturity, and sound judgment
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or advanced degree from a top-tier institution
  • Background in technology, SaaS, or high-growth digital businesses
  • Familiarity with OKR frameworks, KPI design, and business intelligence tools
  • Prior experience in a Chief of Staff, VP of Strategy, or equivalent integrative role

    Pay range: $185,000 - $200,000 + Annual Bonus
