This role focuses on enhancing existing site structures, improving search rankings, and optimizing site performance using Kadence and Divi theme builders. The specialist will implement comprehensive Local SEO strategies, including on-page optimization, technical improvements, schema markup, and content structure development. Responsibilities also include website maintenance, security, plugin management, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of WordPress development experience and strong expertise in Local SEO and technical SEO, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Made in the Shade is seeking a skilled Web Developer & Local SEO Specialist to manage, maintain, and optimize our portfolio of 150 location-based WordPress websites. Each site targets a unique local market, making strong Local SEO expertise essential.
Our websites are built using pre-designed templates and established theme builders (Kadence and Divi). This role focuses on enhancing, optimizing, and scaling our existing structure while improving search rankings and site performance.
Responsibilities:

  • Build, update, and maintain WordPress websites using Kadence and Divi
  • Implement and execute Local SEO strategies for 150+ location websites
  • Improve search rankings through on-page SEO, keyword optimization, and technical improvements
  • Optimize site speed, performance, and Core Web Vitals
  • Develop and refine content structure to support local search visibility
  • Manage plugins, updates, security, and ongoing website health
  • Implement schema markup and local SEO best practices
  • Monitor rankings and recommend growth strategies
  • Troubleshoot website issues and provide general technical support as needed
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership on digital initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in WordPress development
  • Strong knowledge of Local SEO and on-page SEO strategy
  • Experience working with Kadence and Divi theme builders
  • Understanding of technical SEO, schema markup, and site performance optimization
  • Experience managing multiple websites at scale preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
