Role summary

A dynamic company in Camarillo, CA, specializing in cutting-edge electromechanical components and electric power conversion systems for the Aviation industry, seeks an Embedded Systems Software Engineering Manager. This role involves managing the software engineering team while also contributing as an individual programmer. Responsibilities include developing and testing embedded systems code in C and Java, working with real-time control systems, motor control applications, and communication protocols like RS485, CAN, and Ethernet. Experience with embedded Linux, GUI design, power electronics, motion control, and certified aviation software is a plus. The candidate must be comfortable testing and troubleshooting hardware, including high-power systems, and possess strong independent and teamwork abilities. A B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required.

We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Embedded Systems Software Engineering Manager to join our team with the following skills and capabilities:

  • Managing the software engineering team, as well as performing programming as an individual contributor
  • Developing and testing code for embedded systems in C and Java
  • Experience with real time control systems and motor control applications
  • Experience with communications protocols including RS485, CAN, and Ethernet
  • Experience with embedded Linux and GUI design and implementation a plus
  • Experience with power electronics and motion control systems
  • Experience with certified aviation software a plus
  • Comfortable working with, testing, and troubleshooting hardware including high power systems
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team
  • B.S. or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • Must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
