Description

Mainely Grass is a fast-growing, multi-location lawn care company serving homeowners across New England—and a nationally recognized Lawn & Landscape Best Place to Work. We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of our marketing function while helping shape the strategy behind how we grow.

You’ll work closely with the CEO, internal department leaders, and a network of specialized agencies and contractors—but you’ll be the quarterback of the marketing function. You’ll help set the direction, translate strategy into action, lead our external partners, and ensure great plans turn into great execution.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who moves quickly, cares deeply about the details, and is equally comfortable thinking strategically and rolling up their sleeves to get things done. You’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth of the business and how Mainely Grass shows up in the market.

Compensation: $90,000 base salary, plus a meaningful annual bonus tied to performance

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the annual marketing plan in partnership with the CEO, aligning campaigns, channels, budgets, and priorities with the company’s strategic objectives, seasonal needs, and growth goals.
  • Own the day-to-day execution of the marketing function, coordinating internal stakeholders and managing external agencies, contractors, and vendors to ensure work is delivered on time, on brand, and on budget.
  • Monitor and improve marketing performance across key marketing metrics, including lead volume, conversion rates, and customer acquisition cost
  • Lead keeping the website current, keeping content refreshed, and maintaining and creating landing pages, overseeing all contractor/agency SEO changes and additions, as well as regularly seeking improvements to its conversion.
  • Work with head of customer experience to develop current customer communication campaigns, maintain communication calendars, and own execution of email + SMS, including seasonal upsell, annual renewal, and educational campaigns, with full accountability for performance on those channels and continuous improvement
  • Work with head of sales to develop and execute communication campaigns to prior cancelled customers and rejected estimates via email + SMS, with full accountability for performance on those channels and continuous improvement
  • Monitor and respond to customer reviews across platforms and maintain accurate digital listings to protect and strengthen our online reputation
  • Manage organic social presence across platforms, with a focus on educational, seasonal content alongside internal team events
  • Act as brand steward, maintaining and evolving brand guidelines and ensuring consistency in voice, messaging, and visual identity across all customer-facing communications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of marketing experience, preferably within the home services industry or a similar local business
  • HubSpot proficiency preferred
  • Demonstrated strength in project management, including the ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, and external partners simultaneously
  • Experience managing agencies, contractors, and media vendors with a track record of holding partners accountable to deliverables and brand standards
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into action
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high standard for quality and attention to detail
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop effective campaigns across multiple channels
  • Self-directed, high ownership, low ego, and comfortable taking the lead across a broad range of marketing responsibilities
