Sign up to see compensation estimateMANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data and AI Practice. In this role you will be part of a cross-functional team of data scientists, data engineers, software developers and business analysts to support the deployment and scaling of AI tools to achieve mission objectives. At MANTECH, you’ll help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement. This is a fully on-site position in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Pipeline Automation: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment process of ML models.
- Containerization: Manage the packaging and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) of AI solutions for scaling and integration.
- Performance Monitoring: Track system performance (accuracy, latency, coverage) and produce regular analytics reports to identify optimizations.
- Model Lifecycle: Implement quarterly schema/source updates, model retraining pipelines, and secure deployment optimizations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in a relevant field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, etc.) and 8 or more years of professional experience in software development, machine learning, or systems engineering, with deep expertise in Machine Learning Operations (MLOps).
- Demonstrated experience deploying and operationalizing both conventional AI and generative AI models across the full development life cycle.
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and data governance.
- Familiarity with Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) operational environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience with analyzing and reporting on diverse data.
- Strong experience with multiple cloud platforms and with hybrid (cloud and on-premises) environments
- Deep expertise in one or more machine learning specialties.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess a current and active TS with SCI eligibility
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
