Role summary

Transformity is seeking a Founding Account Executive to build out their sales function. This role will be responsible for owning the entire sales pipeline, from customer discovery to closing deals, with a significant portion of time spent on in-person sales and travel. The ideal candidate will leverage AI and sales tools to optimize performance and drive revenue growth. Experience in retail technology, particularly liquor retail, and in fast-paced startup environments is preferred. This is a ground-floor opportunity in a well-funded, product-driven company.

Transformity is empowering beer, wine & liquor stores with amazing technology. We bring enterprise-level sophistication to independent liquor retailers, giving them one integrated operating system for every part of their business.

We serve hundreds of stores without any sales team today. These stores have complex business needs but have been deprived of great software for decades. They predominantly use on-premise systems that were built 15+ years ago. We come from liquor retail families where we witnessed their problems firsthand.

With a small team of 10, we’ve grown fast, efficiently, & serve some of the top retailers in the US. We’re well-capitalized by great investors like YC, 1984, General Catalyst, Pioneer Fund, and Soma Capital.

# **This Role**

You'll be on the ground floor of a high-growth company with core responsibilities being:

* You’ll be based in your local geography, ideally in the Northeast or Southeast (US).
* You will outperform quotas and earn as you close deals.
* You are excited to travel and sell in-person for 50% of deals.
* You will own every part of the sales pipeline: from customer discovery to closing to being a partner during onboarding.
* You’re ready to be a sales architect - use LLMs + sales tools to optimize your performance.

Nice to have:

* 2+ years in a sales position, ideally in a fast-growth startup or selling into small businesses.
* You have experience working in or selling in the liquor retail or broader retail vertical.
* You’re competitive.

# **Who we are**

The product is built by the best engineering team in the industry. Ex-Amazon, Citadel, Brown and from liquor store families. You’ll have the strongest product to sell to customers who have been overlooked by amazing software.

He’s a Vim power user, uses a split keyboard, and a big anime fan. Parents have owned multiple liquor stores.
2. [**Raj**](https://www.linkedin.com/in/rpatel3318/) (Founding Engineer); studied CS and Business @ Northeastern, worked at Chewy, built multiple products/startups before this, is a frontend wizard, a designer, and a baller (he’s very tall).
3. [**Param**](https://www.linkedin.com/in/parambidja/) (CEO): graduated top of class @ UConn, senior engineer from Amazon where he built a new AWS service, and everyone in his family owns liquor stores.

The team is fully technical and product-driven. You’ll have the best product team in the industry working behind your every sale.
