Role summary
Seeking a Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Lead to drive the adoption of high temperature superconducting (HTS) cable technology. This role involves technical sales, market development, and strategic planning across various sectors including power distribution, data centers, maritime, and defense. You will identify opportunities, build key partnerships with hyperscalers, OEMs, and government entities, lead the early sales cycle, and translate customer needs into engineering requirements. The ideal candidate will excel at communicating complex technical concepts into clear value propositions and possess a track record of moving new markets from idea to opportunity. Familiarity with energy systems or related technologies is a plus.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
* Identifying and developing opportunities for our HTS cable across power distribution, data centers, maritime, defense, and emerging industrial sectors.
* Building strategic partnerships with hyperscalers, OEMs, EPCs, shipyards, and government programs.
* Leading the early sales cycle from technical introduction through requirements gathering, scoping, and pilot deployments.
* Translating customer needs into clear engineering requirements and working closely with our technical team to shape product direction.
* Representing Maritime Fusion at conferences, customer meetings, site visits, and government or industry roundtables.
* Creating materials that help explain our technology including pitch decks, technical briefs, case studies, and early proposals.
* Helping us map the HTS ecosystem including suppliers, integrators, standards bodies, and regulatory pathways.
* Driving outbound engagement, prospecting new verticals, and refining our go to market plan as we scale.
**What You Bring**
* Comfort translating complex technical ideas into clear value propositions for customers and decision makers.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with executives, engineers, procurement teams, and government stakeholders.
* A track record of identifying new markets or partnerships and moving them from idea to opportunity.
* Familiarity with energy systems, electrification, industrial power, defense, maritime systems, or superconducting technologies is a plus but not required.
* A proactive approach, willingness to dive into ambiguity, and genuine excitement for building real hardware with real customers.
* Readiness to roll up your sleeves whether that means helping run a demo, preparing materials for investors, or coordinating with suppliers.
