Role summary
MAU is seeking a Thermoset Product Manager for a direct-hire, full-time hybrid role in Ashtabula, OH. The successful candidate will manage thermoset and thermoplastics product lines, define segment strategies, and drive sales growth and profitability. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field with extensive B2B technical product experience, including 5+ years in B2B technical marketing or sales. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years in strategic marketing and 3-5 years in thermosets or thermoplastics. The role involves collaborating with various internal teams, managing product lifecycles, leading project management efforts, and engaging with key customers and stakeholders.

Shift Information

• Hybrid role with preferred 4 days in office (Ability to travel 30%–40%)
Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Plastics, Materials, Chemistry, Physics), or bachelor’s degree in marketing or business with extensive experience in B2B technical products
• 5+ years of direct B2B technical marketing or technical sales experience
Preferred Education and Experience
• 3+ years in a strategic marketing role
• 3–5 years of experience in thermosets (preferred) or thermoplastics
General Requirements
• Deep understanding of market dynamics, technologies, value proposition, and competitive positioning
• Knowledge of product portfolio, cost drivers, and efficiency factors
• Ability to collaborate with Business/Sales, Technical, R&D/Applications, Operations, Supply Chain, and Communications teams
• Strong expertise in plastics markets and ability to engage with key customers and stakeholders
Essential Functions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish, refine, and own regional dispersions for thermosets and pigments for thermoplastics
• Optimize product line profitability and efficiency, including service and working capital metrics
• Manage product life cycle and implement product rationalization processes
• Lead project management efforts across Business/Sales, Technical, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations
• Select and attend trade shows to promote products and company in coordination with Communications
• Collect and analyze market and competitive data to serve as an internal and industry reference for Plastics Americas
• Ensure promotional materials align with strategies and maintain accuracy with Communications and Technical teams
• Lead product promotion efforts and execute marketing plans with Sales and Communications
• Collaborate with Technology teams to drive product innovation and enhance competitive value
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customer leadership to align on products and future needs
• Support Sales and Customer Support teams with product training and recommendations
• Serve as subject-matter expert for thermosets and thermoplastics product-related inquiries
• Partner with Sales and R&D to align product development with customer expectations
• Develop growth plans for new products and innovations, including marketing plans and pricing strategies
• Communicate product discontinuation or replacement effectively to maintain customer satisfaction and partnerships
• Track, analyze, and report Plastics Americas opportunities through Salesforce
