Role summary

Mayvin is seeking a Data Scientist III to develop and implement advanced analytical techniques and software applications. This role involves transforming complex datasets into actionable information using data-oriented programming languages, statistical methods, and visualization tools to support decision-making. Responsibilities include applying data mining, modeling, NLP, and machine learning to large datasets, visualizing and interpreting findings, and creating automated reporting products. This position requires a Master's degree and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in data science, with a U.S. Citizenship and active Top Secret w/SCI eligibility required.

Data Scientists III develops and implements advanced analytical techniques and software applications to transform raw, complex datasets into meaningful, actionable information. They leverage data-oriented programming languages, statistical methods, and visualization tools to support decision-making across technical and programmatic environments. Typical responsibilities include applying data mining, modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning methods to analyze large structured and unstructured datasets; visualizing, interpreting, and presenting analytical results; and developing dynamic, automated reporting products that support ongoing mission objectives

This position is pending contract award.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must have an active Top Secret w/SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply data mining, modeling, NLP, and machine learning to large datasets
  • Visualize, interpret, and report data findings
  • Create dynamic and automated reporting products

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in data science

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with software integration or testing including test plans and scripts
  • Experience using Python and R with common data science libraries
  • Experience with data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL, API development, ETL pipelines, web servers, or search indexing
  • Experience with Python, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, NumPy, Requests, or Antigravity
  • Experience applying complex mathematical and statistical concepts
  • Experience with operations research methods and tools
  • Experience using spreadsheets for data manipulation and visualization
  • *Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Cloud Essentials, CCSK, EMCDSA, Cloudera CCDH/CCP, CISSP, Microsoft certifications, CCAH)*
