Position Overview
As an Electrical Construction Estimator, you will develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for a diverse portfolio of electrical construction projects across multiple business lines, including:
Transmission and Distribution (T&D)
Substations and grid infrastructure
Industrial and construction electrical work (inside wiring / MV systems)
Renewable energy and power generation
Civil and electrical foundation scopes
You will evaluate bid documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure all aspects of the project scope—labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and indirect costs—are fully captured and aligned with execution strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze bid specifications, construction drawings, and contract requirements across multiple electrical construction scopes
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing to ensure complete and competitive bids
Identify constructability challenges, scope gaps, risks, and value‑engineering opportunities
Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Operations teams to align estimates with field execution plans
Prepare clear, accurate, and organized estimate documentation and bid packages
Participate in bid reviews, turnover meetings, and pricing strategy discussions
Track bid outcomes and support budget validation and continuous improvement efforts

What It Takes
Experience in estimating or exposure to electrical, utility, or construction projects
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
Effective written and verbal communication abilities
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits, bid reviews, or preconstruction support
Preferred Qualifications
Experience estimating across multiple electrical scopes (T&D, substations, industrial, renewables, or civil/foundations)
Familiarity with unit pricing, assemblies, and construction cost databases
Experience with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, HCSS, or similar tools)
Exposure to utility clients, EPC contractors, or infrastructure projects
