Role summary
Branch ISD is seeking a full-time Program Manager of Computer and Networking Technology for the Branch Area Career Center. This role involves managing the IT and computer networking program, including curriculum development using Perkin Core Competencies (PCC), student evaluation, and maintaining program equipment. The ideal candidate will have 4000 hours of work experience in IT or computer networking and hold a Comp TIA A+ certification. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Information Technologies or Computer Science and teaching experience. Responsibilities also include managing an advisory committee, assisting with student job placement, supporting youth clubs, and maintaining Cisco Networking Academy status. This is an onsite position starting August 17, 2026.

Requirements:
Qualification requirements which the Program Manager must possess:
- Education and/or certification:
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technologies or Computer Science.
- Vocational certification for Information Technology CIP Code 11.0901 or meet qualifications for annual career authorization (ACA).
- Comp TIA A+ certification.
- Experience:
- 4000 hours of work experience in the IT or Computer Networking field.
- Preferred teaching experience.
Duties:
- Enforce safety rules and regulations.
- Keep assigned area in order.
- Use the state approved Perkin Core Competencies (PCC) to create unit and lesson plans.
- Evaluate and grade students using established method.
- Maintain an active advisory committee.
- Assist coordinators with job placement of students.
- Support and assist with youth clubs.
- Test all students for competencies on an annual basis.
- Maintain program equipment and order supplies as needed.
- Maintain the program’s Cisco Networking Academy status.
- Other duties as assigned.
