Role summary
The Finance Data Management team is seeking a detail-oriented professional for a contract role supporting financial reporting, allocation processes, and ERP transition to SAP S/4HANA. Summary:
The Finance Data Management team within Central Finance is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support critical financial reporting, allocation processes, and ERP transition efforts. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, maintain process governance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the organization's transition from the current ERP system to SAP S/4HANA, requiring strong analytical capabilities and the ability to manage complex financial data sets. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that directly influence the accuracy and integrity of financial operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate and document end-to-end financial processes during a significant system transformation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the transition from the current ERP system to SAP S/4HANA, including execution of parallel processes during the migration period
- Manage and maintain allocation rules under the new S/4HANA framework
- Perform reconciliations and comparative reviews to identify gaps, discrepancies, and remediation needs across financial data sets
- Execute testing scenarios and partner with process owners to validate end-to-end financial processes during system changes
- Document financial processes and support ongoing process iteration as additional activities are onboarded to the new ERP platform
- Check and verify financial records with accuracy and consistency
- Prepare invoices and vouchers as needed
- Process expense reports in accordance with established procedures
- Use financial systems to input data, generate reports, and conduct specialized research projects
- Draft clear communications for allocation partners and stakeholder communities
- Develop process documentation and training materials
- Respond to inquiries related to financial data and reporting
- Review, digest, and evaluate complex materials and detailed mapping files
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of work-related experience in finance or accounting
- Demonstrated experience performing financial reconciliations or comparative reviews to identify discrepancies and remediation needs
- Previous experience supporting ERP transition work, including parallel processes during system migration
- Background in corporate finance and accounting
- Experience with report generation, data refresh processes, and reconciliation tied to allocation rule management
- Knowledge of process governance and audit procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Ability to work hybrid schedule with a required minimum of three days onsite in the Puget Sound area
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting
- Strong knowledge of SAP and Microsoft product suite
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to synthesize complex information and follow structured tasks and timelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Action-oriented approach to reconciliations and data accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong capability to question findings and identify discrepancies through critical analysis

- Location: Redmond, WA (Hybrid: 3 days onsite)
- Duration: 3 months
- Pay Range\*: $26.50 - $30 per hour
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
- Job Status: Non-Exempt
