Role summary

*Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.*

Summary:

This position plays a critical role in managing financial modeling and analysis for storage contracts that support sourcing and procurement for data centers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring alignment on cost, budgeting, and financial commitments while contributing to cutting-edge AI and inferencing data center initiatives. This role requires deep financial modeling expertise and the ability to analyze complex financial structures to support strategic decision-making. The position involves gathering and analyzing financial information, conducting quantitative analyses of investment programs, and communicating financial insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports
  • Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions
  • Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risks
  • Review invoices against projects and develop accurate forecasting models
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and trends in financial data
  • Validate billed amounts against agreed-upon rates, deliverables, and milestones
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure financial assumptions are aligned and updated projections reflect changes in scope, pricing, or timelines
  • Leverage digital tools and dashboards to integrate real-time data for dynamic scenario modeling
  • Support strategic decision-making by providing clear understanding of project health and financial exposure

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in financial modeling
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience with variance analysis
  • 2-4 years of financial and/or accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required
  • An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in deep financial modeling
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail and critical thinking
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Capability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, and reporting of financial data
  • Understanding of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations as related to accounting
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

Additional Details:

  • Location: Remote
  • Duration: 3 months
  • Pay Range\*: $45.50 -$51.50
  • Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
  • Job Status: Non-Exempt
