Role summary

Millinocket Regional Hospital seeks a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to manage fiscal operations, including revenue cycle, budgeting, and financial reporting. The CFO will ensure financial viability and regulatory compliance, partnering with executive leadership to optimize resource stewardship and healthcare delivery. Qualifications include a Master's degree in Finance, Business, or Healthcare Administration, with a minimum of five years of management experience. Critical Access hospital knowledge, service line analysis, and financial improvement planning are required. The role emphasizes teaching and collaboration with department managers, along with strong reporting and prioritization skills.

Millinocket Regional Hospital is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to direct and oversee the hospital’s fiscal operations, including revenue cycle management, budgeting and financial reporting.

The CFO will ensure the hospital’s financial viability and regulatory compliance while partnering with executive leadership to implement strategies that optimize both resource stewardship and community healthcare delivery.

Qualifications: Masters Degree in Finance, Business Administration and/or Healthcare Administration. Minimum of five years management experience required. Hospital CFO or controller experience preferred. Critical Access hospital knowledge to include CAH Cost Reporting, required. Must have experience in service line analysis – recognizing negative trends and developing corrective strategies, recognizing real time trending and course adjustment. Must have a proven track record of solid performance and financial improvement planning as well as in completing initiatives in a timely manner and within set parameters. Must be a teacher and collaborator to department managers. Must have excellent reporting skills and proven prioritization skills.

General Information: This is a full-time executive leadership position offering a highly competitive compensation package, comprehensive healthcare benefits, a 403(b) retirement plan, and a generous paid time off schedule. While core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., this executive role requires a flexible commitment aligned with institutional needs.
