Role summary

MEPPI's Service Center Division (SCD) is seeking a Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making. The role involves compiling, analyzing, and visualizing complex datasets to identify trends and risks, providing actionable insights for performance tracking, forecasting, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include developing dashboards and reports, collaborating with business partners, monitoring KPIs, ensuring data quality, and responding to management and compliance requests. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 0-2 years of experience, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI.

MEPPI’s Service Center Division (SCD) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical
Data Analyst
to support evidence-based decision making across the Division. In this role, you will compile, analyze, and visualize complex data sets, identify trends and risks, and provide actionable insights that support performance tracking, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Analyze & Interpret Data
: Compile, clean, validate, and analyze large and complex datasets from multiple sources to support informed business decisions.
Develop Dashboards & Reports
: Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that clearly communicate insights, trends, and performance metrics.
Partner With the Business
: Collaborate closely with business partners to understand data needs and translate them into meaningful analytical solutions.
Support Cross-Functional Initiatives
: Provide data-driven insights for cross-functional projects and participate in process improvement efforts.
Monitor KPIs & Trends
: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and proactively identify emerging trends, risks, or variances.
Ensure Data Quality & Governance
: Maintain data integrity by developing data quality checks and ensuring adherence to governance and reporting standards.
Maintain Documentation
: Create and maintain documentation related to data processes, reporting definitions, and standards.
Support Forecasting & Performance Tracking
: Assist with forecasting, performance measurement, and other analytical initiatives across the Division.
Respond to Management & Compliance Requests
: Provide accurate and timely data and insights to support management, audit, and compliance needs.
Promote Division Excellence
: Further the goals and positive image of SCD through cooperative, timely collaboration with other MEPPI departments, customers, and suppliers.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Data Science, or a related technical field
  • 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, technical reporting, or technical support

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including aggregating and analyzing data from multiple sources
  • Familiarity with Power BI preferred
  • Exposure to electrical distribution systems is a plus

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple data collection and reporting tasks concurrently
  • Willingness to learn and apply technical concepts to generate actionable insights
