Role summary

MongoDB is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Database Experience (DBX) Team. This role focuses on building and supporting open-source libraries and tools for developers using MongoDB, with a specific emphasis on the .NET/C# ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in high-quality software development, particularly in C#, and possess a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, networking, and concurrent programming. Experience with databases (relational or non-relational) is required. Preferred qualifications include contributions to open-source projects, familiarity with modern .NET frameworks, and experience with MongoDB. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, testing, and supporting libraries, collaborating with product and server teams, handling customer support, engaging with the developer community, and mentoring junior engineers. Our Database Experience (DBX) Team

The Database Experience team builds the libraries and tools that developers use day-to-day working with MongoDB. Our mission is to increase developer adoption, satisfaction and retention by providing a reliable, enjoyable interface for developers and other end-users.

Our senior engineers are typically specialists in a particular programming language, but are capable of contributing to projects in other languages as well.

For this role, we're looking for someone who enjoys designing, writing, and supporting open source libraries for developers using MongoDB and who is passionate about increasing the use of MongoDB within the .NET/C# community.     MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package.
