Role summary
Monster Energy is seeking an enthusiastic Data Analyst Intern to join their Insights & Analytics team. This role focuses on data requirements, integrity, and improving efficiencies in data collection, measurement, reporting, and analytics. The intern will support data validation, extrapolation, and visualization projects using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. Responsibilities include consolidating process documentation, analyzing data against benchmarks, and presenting findings. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in a quantitative field, proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and has experience with query languages like SQL. A Day in The Life:
The Insights & Analytics Intern is an up & coming tech wizard that enjoys working behind the scenes; focused on data requirements & integrity, extrapolations & insertions, integration, advanced Excel functions, formulas and algorithms. This role will support improving efficiencies across data collection, measurement, reporting and analytics. He or she must be a critical thinker.
The Impact You'll Make:
- Efficient in properly validating digital marketing data (QA)
- Support data analyst team on related data extrapolation and visualization projects via Power BI using Microsoft Fabric workspace.
- Support the creation and consolidation of standardization / documentation of processes and data dictionaries
- Data analysis to measure and interpret results against benchmarks, historical results and industry standards.
- Ability to think creatively & critically to clearly present ideas and communicate with team leaders using strong verbal & written skills.
Who You Are:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Math, Economics, Quantitative Marketing, Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, and Outlook, MS Azure, PowerBI
- Intermediate user of Excel (pivot tables, advanced macros, data aggregation, etc.)
- Experience with editing and writing coding & query languages (SQL, M-Code, DAX, Python, Boolean, etc.) a plus
- Experience with data modeling, star schema, MS fabric a plus
- Must be proactive and focused, detail-oriented, self-motivated, results-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
