The Role

Motimatic is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help design, develop and grow the Motimatic marketing platform.

With our platform, Motimatic defines and optimizes campaigns across social networks (and other channels) to deliver the right message to the consumer at the right time.

We do this by leveraging behavioral science based creative, combined with content publishing and the consumer journey. This creates an automated and simplified approach for marketers to reach and influence their audience.

This is a great time to join as we are in the latter stages of a platform rebuild with further optimization coming in the form of AI tools to improve the campaign production process.

This role reports to the CTO and is responsible for driving software architecture of key components, facilitating team design meetings, championing development patterns and hands-on development of the platform modules.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design and Architecture:

Designing scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions, choosing appropriate technologies and architectural patterns based on project requirements.

• Coding and Implementation:

Writing complex, high-quality, and testable code.

• Technical Leadership:

Leading complex projects, setting development timelines, and defining technical standards.

• Collaboration:

Working with cross-functional teams (Product, Design) to translate business requirements into technical specs.

• Improvement and Best Practices:

Driving process improvements, introducing new technologies, and reducing technical debt.

• Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

Analyzing and resolving complex software bugs and maintaining existing systems.

Qualifications

• Experience:

5+ years engineering and building features for software products (preferrably SaaS).

• Engineering and Architecture:

Ability to recognize and articulate patterns in requirements and implement in extensible and maintainable software components.

• Soft Skills:

High "EQ" for effective communication with non-technical stakeholders, and strong analytical thinking.

• Ambiguity Management:

The ability to take a messy, undefined problem and create an incremental plan to solve it.

• Tech Stack:

Experience with Django, Python, React and Postgres preferred.

• Domain:

Experience with social media Ad networks is a big plus.

• AWS & Dev Ops:

Some experience with core AWS resources and Dev Ops is beneficial
