Job Summary
As an HR & Payroll Coordinator, you will manage operational and administrative HR tasks, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, offboarding, and general HR administration. You will play a key role in documenting processes and supporting the foundation for future HR automation (HRIS), with exposure to strategic HR functions under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Selection: Post job openings, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and manage offers.
- Onboarding: Process new hire documentation, set up employee profiles, assign equipment/uniforms, and ensure policy compliance.
- Offboarding: Execute exit procedures, recover company property, close system access, and manage final payments and benefits.
- Payroll & Administrative Support: Assist with payroll preparation, reports, and recordkeeping; maintain physical and digital files; support HRIS.
- HR Coordination & Employee Programs: Support training, team-building, and performance evaluation processes.
- Exposure to Strategic HR: Participate in compliance reporting, policy implementation, employee relations, and legal consultation processes under supervision.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish – verbal and written.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field (preferred)
- 1–2 years of prior HR or administrative experience.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with SAGE or HRIS (UKG) is a plus.
- Proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk or computer.
- Occasionally lift, carry, or move office supplies, documents, and equipment up to 30lbs.
- Frequent use of computer, phone, and other office equipment.
- Ability to bend, reach, and file documents in cabinets or shelves.
- Clear vision and hearing to effectively interact with employees and read documents.
- Ability to travel occasionally between company locations for onboarding, training, or meetings.
