Financial Data Analyst – Medicare Commission Reconciliation (Contract)

Overview

We are seeking a Financial Data Analyst to help us analyze and reconcile Medicare Advantage commission data across more than 10 insurance carriers.

Each carrier reports commissions differently, and we need someone who can analyze the data, identify patterns, and help us build a reliable commission tracking system.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex data problems and building financial processes from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Analyze commission statements from multiple insurance carriers
• Organize and normalize data from different statement formats
• Calculate policy-level revenue and member value
• Compare expected vs. received commissions
• Identify inconsistencies or missing payments
• Help design a repeatable process for commission reconciliation
• Assist in building dashboards or reports for commission tracking

Qualifications

• Strong financial analysis or data analysis background
• Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, or financial modeling
• Comfortable working with large or messy datasets
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to quickly learn new financial structures

Preferred Experience

• Insurance industry experience
• Medicare Advantage knowledge
• Commission analysis or reconciliation work
• Financial operations or revenue auditing

Growth Opportunity

This role starts as a part-time contract position ($20 – $40/hour) with the potential to become full-time as we scale our commission infrastructure.
