Role summary

Amazon Prime Air is seeking a Senior Product Manager with strong technical, research, and analytical skills to drive innovation in its Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools. This role involves defining the strategic vision and roadmap for next-generation MES, leveraging deep technical expertise in MES/ERP architecture, and managing complex technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will influence priorities, deliver critical solutions, and apply product management best practices to enhance team productivity. This role also requires excellent business communication skills and participation in hiring and mentoring.

We're looking for a Product Manager who combines superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to look around corners, work independently, and get the right things done. This person must be comfortable acting as a technical lead for our Manufacturing Execution systems (MES) tool with a strong foundational understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. We're looking for people who innovate, and love solving hard problems! You will work hard, have fun, and of course, make history!
Key job responsibilities

  • Define the strategic vision and product roadmap for the next-generation Manufacturing Execution System (MES) work-stream.
  • Demonstrate deep technical expertise in MES and ERP systems architecture (workflows, APIs, runtime, design limitations, maintenance) and leverage data-driven insights to influence priorities and strategy.
  • Scope and manage large, complex technology initiatives, delivering critical solutions, significant improvements, or deprecating obsolete systems across multiple teams and platforms.
  • Ensure the program meets challenging business goals and drives measurable improvements in efficiency or experience for customers, employees/engineers, or the business.
  • Apply product management best practices to refine procedures and increase the productivity and effectiveness of cross-functional teams.
  • Possess excellent business communication skills to present complex technical information to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Participate in hiring and mentor others to continuously improve their skills and ability to deliver results.

About The Team
The Configuration Management, Facilities & Infrastructure Tools (CMFIT) team defines, deploys and refines Prime Air's process controls and tool sets required for the definition, manufacture, qualification, operations and configuration management of Prime Air's fast growing ultra-fast delivery platform with target of delivering to 500 million packages a year to customer around the world before the end of the decade.
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
  • Experience in developing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management process
  • Experience with Infor LN ERP platform.
  • Experience with the Apriso and Delmia (MES) platforms.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
