Role summary
National Shunt Service LLC is seeking a Yard Jockey for a Friday to Sunday day shift schedule. This role involves safely moving trailers in and out of dock doors, communicating with warehouse staff, performing daily inspections of yard trucks, and utilizing software for move completion. Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently move trailers in and out of dock doors, within and between facility buildings
- Routine communication with warehouse regarding the placement of trailers both in door and in the drop lot
- Daily inspection of yard truck, monitoring truck condition and communicate with supervisors when repair(s) is/are required
- Utilize software to receive and complete moves on an as-needed basis
- Continuously follow safe operating procedures
- Inspect trailers
- Other duties as assigned
