AI-Native Software Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on Full-Stack Engineer to design, build, and scale our platform. You’ll work on micro frontends and microservices using React.js, Next.js, Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL, and deploy on AWS. You must have knowledge of FHIR and be capable of designing highly scalable, secure architectures. Experience using AI-assisted development tools like Cursor to accelerate delivery is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build scalable full-stack applications using React.js/Next.js on the frontend and Spring Boot microservices on the backend.
• Design and implement microservices architectures with clean separation of concerns, domain-driven design, and event-driven patterns.
• Develop micro frontends to modularize the UI for independent deployment and rapid iteration.
• Architect and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, write efficient queries, and manage migrations for large-scale data.
• Integrate with healthcare interoperability standards, including FHIR.
• Implement integrations with EHR systems, claims systems, and Medicare APIs, including authentication (OAuth2, OpenID Connect) and data retrieval/updates.
• Design and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs; implement asynchronous messaging via Kafka, SNS/SQS, or similar.
• Leverage AWS services for serverless, containerized, and event-driven architectures (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch).
• Use AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or LLM-based code generation to accelerate implementation while maintaining high code quality.
• Implement scalable, secure, and compliant architectures, adhering to HIPAA and SOC2 standards.
• Develop solutions for data normalization, transformation, and enrichment across heterogeneous healthcare data sources.
• Mentor engineers on best practices for full-stack, cloud, and healthcare integrations.

Qualifications:

• React.js + Next.js for modular, component-driven frontend architectures.
• Java + Spring Boot for backend microservices, including API design, security, and testing.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including indexing, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Hands-on with AWS cloud-native services for scalable applications.
• Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, CCDA, EHR integrations, and claims/insurance workflows.
• Comfortable designing high-availability, multi-region architectures.
• Experience with LLM-powered automation for development, testing, and workflow optimization.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with LLM integration for workflow automation and intelligent features.
• Prior experience in Healthtech or Insurtech startups.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC2, or other healthcare compliance standards.
• Cloud DevOps experience including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.
