### Position Overview

"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to lead performance management, analytics, and reporting initiatives for a large-scale public sector broadband program. This role offers the opportunity to design, enhance, and maintain data infrastructure supporting high-impact statewide initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and Power BI, along with the ability to work with diverse datasets and stakeholders.

### Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development, maintenance, and governance of enterprise data systems, including programmatic, financial, geographic, and performance datasets
  • Design and manage data models, schemas, and workflows to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
  • Establish and document data standards, definitions, and quality controls
  • Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources into centralized, usable formats
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to communicate program performance and metrics
  • Utilize DAX for calculations, measures, and advanced analytics within Power BI
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Ensure analytics solutions are scalable, repeatable, and aligned with stakeholder requirements
  • Manage publishing, access control, and lifecycle of analytics products
  • Support leadership with performance metrics, KPIs, and data-driven insights
  • Produce reports, dashboards, and visualizations for internal and public-facing use
  • Assist with federal and state reporting, compliance, and data submissions
  • Collaborate with GIS teams to align data with geographic datasets and mapping requirements
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on data quality, reporting strategies, and analytics approaches
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, summaries, and briefings

### Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience with SQL
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Power BI
  • Experience with data modeling and data integration
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Ability to work with diverse and complex datasets

### Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DAX optimization
  • Familiarity with GIS concepts and spatial data
  • Understanding of data governance practices
  • Experience with federal or regulatory reporting

### Nice to Have

  • Advanced GIS expertise
  • Advanced Power BI administration experience
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R, etc.)
