### Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Public Safety Monitoring Automation Engineer to support and manage large-scale enterprise patching, automation, and monitoring environments for critical public safety systems.

This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and compliance of infrastructure supporting emergency response operations, including 911 systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in BMC tools, automation, and enterprise system administration across Windows and Linux environments.

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate enterprise server patching using BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA / BladeLogic)
  • Plan, schedule, deploy, and report on patching activities across Windows and Linux systems
  • Administer and maintain TrueSight and BMC Discovery (ADDM) environments
  • Configure, deploy, and support BMC BladeLogic and related automation tools
  • Support patching of mission-critical systems (e.g., call-taking and dispatch systems) without operational disruption
  • Diagnose and resolve incidents; implement corrective actions for system issues
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and Python
  • Manage endpoint patching and deployments using BMC Client Management (BCM)
  • Support CMDB operations including asset discovery, reconciliation, and data integrity
  • Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and zero-day threats
  • Standardize workstation builds and support OS deployment/provisioning processes
  • Automate discovery and configuration of large-scale infrastructure (2000+ nodes)
  • Eliminate manual asset tracking by implementing automated asset management solutions

### Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in systems engineering, automation, or infrastructure management
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with BMC automation tools (TrueSight / BladeLogic, BCM, ADDM)
  • Strong expertise in enterprise server patching and lifecycle management
  • Experience administering TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA) environments
  • Proficiency in scripting: Bash/Shell, PowerShell, Python
  • Experience with BMC Client Management (BCM) for endpoint management
  • Hands-on experience with BMC Discovery (ADDM) including configuration and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of CMDB systems (BMC Remedy preferred)
  • Experience managing asset lifecycle, CI data, and configuration management
  • Ability to support high-availability, mission-critical systems

### Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PXE / OS Deployment (OSD)
  • TPL scripting experience
  • Knowledge of Windows patch management and software distribution
  • Experience with Windows/UNIX configuration management and compliance
  • Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
  • Familiarity with BMC FootPrints
