AI/ML Engineer – Local LLM & Custom RAG Systems

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and innovative AI/ML Engineer specializing in Local Large Language Models (LLMs) and Custom Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Systems. Duties

• Design, develop, and fine-tune local LLMs using frameworks such as TensorFlow and other machine learning libraries to ensure high performance and accuracy in real-world applications.
• Build and optimize custom RAG systems by integrating large language models with enterprise data sources through robust ETL processes and database design.
• Implement unsupervised learning techniques to enhance model capabilities, leveraging big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, and Talend for data mining and processing at scale.
• Deploy AI models efficiently across cloud platforms such as AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability while managing model lifecycle from training to deployment.
• Develop natural language processing solutions that improve understanding and generation of human language, utilizing machine learning frameworks and NLP techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Conduct data analysis using SQL, R, Python, Looker, SAS, and VBA to derive insights that inform model improvements and strategic decisions.

Skills

• Proficiency in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or similar tools for model training and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of natural language processing (NLP), including transformer architectures and language modeling techniques.
• Experience with big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and ETL tools like Talend for data ingestion and processing.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS for deploying scalable AI solutions.
• Programming expertise in Python, Java, C, Bash (Unix shell), VBA for automation and system integration tasks.
• Solid understanding of database design principles along with SQL proficiency for managing structured data sources.
• Knowledge of analytics tools such as Looker or SAS for data visualization and reporting purposes.
• Background in unsupervised learning methods like clustering or dimensionality reduction to enhance model robustness.
• Experience with model deployment strategies ensuring efficient performance in production environments.
• Awareness of quantum engineering concepts is a plus for innovative approaches to AI challenges. Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
