Role summary
Insight Global is seeking a remote Data Analyst / SAP Master Data Analyst for a medical device company, primarily based in Mexico. This role supports the Quality Systems & Digital Solutions team, focusing on data integrity, system performance, and insightful reporting within a regulated environment. About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst / SAP Master Data Analyst to join our client's dynamic team remotely, primarily based in Mexico. This role is pivotal in supporting a large medical device company dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes through innovative products and solutions. The successful candidate will operate within the Quality Systems & Digital Solutions team, playing an essential role in ensuring data integrity, system performance, and insightful reporting that underpin quality assurance and operational excellence in a highly regulated environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with SAP systems, and a keen understanding of data analysis tools and techniques. They will work closely with IT and Quality stakeholders to support reporting activities, system configuration, testing, and process improvements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated healthcare sectors.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience with automation processes and data flow management.
- Strong skills in Excel, SQL, and Power Query transformations.
- Hands-on experience with SAP, including data management, testing, validation, or configuration projects is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Nice-to-have qualifications include experience acting as a liaison between business and IT, understanding of quality systems supporting CAPA and audits, and prior exposure to medical device industry standards and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role encompass data analysis, SAP system support, and ensuring compliance with quality standards:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, extract, analyze, and interpret data from SAP, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and related platforms. Translate complex datasets into actionable insights by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement. Develop and maintain monthly reports for Quality and Operations teams, creating dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel. Define and track KPIs related to quality metrics to support decision-making processes.
- SAP & Systems Support: Act as a SAP Master Data and systems analyst, ensuring data accuracy, system configuration, and usability. Collaborate with IT on SAP system enhancements and participate in testing and validation activities. Support user stories related to system updates, troubleshoot issues, and communicate defects or gaps effectively. Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring system changes align with operational needs.
- Quality Systems & Compliance: Monitor and uphold data quality standards, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Support audits, CAPA processes, non-conformance investigations, and management reviews through reliable data reporting. Implement data governance practices aligned with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and EU MDR standards. Provide technical support for data-related issues, recommend system improvements, and maintain a strong understanding of how SAP configurations impact compliance and quality assurance processes.
