About The Role
Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services, is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in Hazelwood, MO, to support the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program. This strategic program continues to expand as a vital deterrent against adversaries worldwide and is expected to remain in active service for the foreseeable future. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the software development lifecycle, contributing to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software that complies with industry, customer, and safety standards, including strict government regulations.
The role offers a unique opportunity to review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial software designs. The Associate Software Engineer will develop, maintain, and optimize software products and functionalities for system integrations, ensuring high reliability and performance. Debugging and resolving issues to enhance software efficiency will be a key aspect of this role, providing tangible contributions to critical defense systems.
Qualifications
Basic qualifications include an active U.S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Candidates should have at least one year of experience with VB.NET or C#.NET within a desktop environment, along with a year of experience working with SQL or other relational databases. A strong foundation in software development, understanding of government regulations, and commitment to security are essential for success in this role.
Preferred qualifications include experience with the .NET Framework (WinForms), Web Services (SOAP or Rest), and working within Windows environments (Windows 10/11, Windows Server). Familiarity with project management tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira, as well as CI/CD pipelines, unit testing frameworks (xUnit, jUnit, nUnit, MS Test), and programming in C++ is highly desirable. Candidates with a STEM degree, strong mathematical analysis skills, or security certifications such as Security+ will have a competitive advantage.
Responsibilities

  • Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback to improve software performance.
  • Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and adapt to changes in regulations relevant to software development.
  • Execute and document software research and development projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
  • Translate customer requirements into initial software designs and develop robust code to meet project specifications.
  • Maintain and enhance existing software products, optimize functionalities, and ensure system integration compatibility.
  • Debug and resolve software issues promptly, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of software products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system upgrades, testing, and deployment activities.
