Impact Research Intern - Summer 2026
Role summary
Newsela's Research team is seeking an Impact Research Intern for Summer 2026 to investigate and document the company's impact on student learning. This remote, 8-week or 12-week internship is ideal for a graduate student or early-career researcher. Responsibilities include applying statistical rigor and an investigative mindset to real-world data, conducting analyses, and developing compelling reports and data visualizations. The role requires fluency in R for statistical analysis and data visualization (tidyverse), fundamental statistics knowledge, basic SQL querying skills, and familiarity with markdown. Experience with educational research, multilevel modeling, and preparing visualizations for diverse audiences is preferred. The internship offers a rate of $35/hour.
