NextActiv is seeking a Contract Program Manager for their Marketing Technology Ecosystem. This remote role involves leading large-scale client engagements, orchestrating strategy, architecture, and execution across various marketing technology platforms like CDPs, marketing automation, CRM, and analytics. The Program Manager will be the primary delivery leader, responsible for translating business objectives into roadmaps, managing scope, timelines, and risks, and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture. Key responsibilities include client and stakeholder leadership, program execution, establishing governance, and coordinating cross-functional teams including architects, analysts, and developers. Experience in MarTech transformation and client-facing environments is highly preferred.

Role Summary

As a Lead Program Manager within the marketing technology ecosystem, you will lead large-scale client engagements spanning multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and delivery teams. You will be responsible for ensuring alignment between business objectives, technical execution, and measurable outcomes across customer data platforms, marketing automation, CRM, analytics enablement, and journey orchestration initiatives.

Salesforce platforms (e.g. Marketing Cloud, Data 360) will be part of the environment, but this role operates across a broader enterprise MarTech and data ecosystem.

This role goes beyond traditional project management. You will operate as the delivery orchestrator across strategy, architecture, and execution - driving clarity, managing dependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring programs deliver sustained business value.

You will serve as the primary delivery leader accountable for program success from discovery through implementation and stabilization.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Delivery Leadership

  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex Salesforce ecosystem programs across multiple workstreams.
  • Translate strategic objectives into phased execution roadmaps with clear milestones and outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery across marketing, data, engineering, analytics, and IT teams.
  • Manage scope, timelines, resourcing, and delivery governance across concurrent initiatives.
  • Identify delivery risks early and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Ensure program alignment with enterprise architecture and transformation priorities.

Client & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Serve as the primary program-level client interface across executive and working teams.
  • Lead steering committees, status reviews, and cross-functional alignment sessions.
  • Drive decision-making across competing priorities and stakeholder interests.
  • Communicate progress, risks, trade-offs, and dependencies clearly to technical and business audiences.
  • Act as a trusted advisor guiding clients through complex transformation initiatives.

Marketing Technology Ecosystem Program Execution

  • Coordinate delivery across Marketing technology ecosystem platforms including (marketing automation platforms, journey orchestration and lifecycle engagement frameworks, data management, analytics enablement environments, etc.)
  • Ensure alignment between architecture design and implementation sequencing.
  • Support orchestration of identity resolution, activation, segmentation, and measurement initiatives.
  • Oversee cross-platform integration milestones and release readiness.

Governance, Planning & Operating Model Enablement

  • Establish program governance frameworks and reporting cadences.
  • Define delivery plans, RAID logs, and dependency tracking structures.
  • Support estimation, roadmap planning, and prioritization processes.
  • Implement scalable delivery processes across multiple concurrent client initiatives.
  • Ensure documentation supports continuity, transparency, and long-term maintainability.

Team Coordination & Delivery Enablement

  • Coordinate architects, solution leads, analysts, developers, and QA resources.
  • Support sprint planning and release alignment across workstreams.
  • Ensure teams remain aligned to measurable business outcomes.
  • Promote accountability and delivery momentum across distributed teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery playbooks and engagement models.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in program or project management within marketing technology, CRM, customer data platforms, or analytics environments
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex enterprise MarTech transformation programs
  • Experience coordinating multi-stream implementations across business, data, and engineering stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of marketing technology architecture, activation workflows, and analytics enablement
  • Proven success managing dependencies across integrated platforms and vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining delivery quality and momentum
  • Exceptional communication skills with both executive and technical audiences
  • Experience operating in consulting or client-facing delivery environments strongly preferred

Strongly Desired Experience

  • Customer Data Platform implementation experience
  • Identity resolution and segmentation architecture exposure
  • Experience with Salesforce ecosystem platforms (Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud)
  • Experience supporting customer journey orchestration or lifecycle marketing programs
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Tableau, SFMCI (Datorama), or similar tools
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale marketing transformation programs

Preferred Certifications

PMP (Project Management Professional)

Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification (preferred)
