Role summary
Adobe is seeking a contract Program Manager 2 through NextDeavor for an onsite role in San Jose, CA. This position involves leading large, multi-team engineering programs to deliver high-impact product outcomes aligned with the client's roadmap. The Program Manager will partner with product, design, architecture, engineering, and business enablement stakeholders, driving planning and execution, managing program plans, schedules, risks, and reporting. Key responsibilities include guiding AI feature development lifecycles, engaging stakeholders, defining processes for issue resolution and velocity improvement, and leading cross-functional leaders for cohesive execution. A technical background and 3-6 years of related experience are preferred, along with strong program governance, Agile/Scrum familiarity, and the ability to translate ambiguous requirements into structured roadmaps.

Become a Key Player as a Program Manager 2
You will lead large, multi-team engineering programs that deliver high-impact product outcomes in support of the client’s roadmap. You will partner closely with product, design, architecture, engineering, and business enablement stakeholders to maintain program alignment and clarity. This is an onsite role in San Jose, CA, supporting a fixed-term leave-of-absence coverage assignment.
Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact on the Team
- Drive planning and execution of the product roadmap with cross-functional partners.
- Develop and manage program plans, schedules, risks, mitigations, status reporting, and executive updates.
- Serve as the authoritative source of truth for program state, dependencies, risks, and opportunities.
- Guide AI feature development lifecycles, including hypothesis validation, fine-tuning, evaluations, and resource planning.
- Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels and produce tailored materials from executive presentations to engineering documentation.
- Define and drive processes to coordinate and resolve cross-team issues and continuously improve velocity and outcomes.
- Establish and lead a coalition of cross-functional leaders to ensure cohesive execution.
Here’s What You’ll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- Technical background preferred.
- 3 - 6 years of related experience.
- Experience leading complex engineering programs from concept through delivery.
- Strong skills in program governance, reporting, risk and dependency management, and budget oversight.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Lean practices to optimize development processes.
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous requirements into structured roadmaps, milestones, and measurable success criteria.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Pay Range
$54.77 - $68.46/hour
